Paver Cleaning & Sealing in Brevard County

Protect your investment and keep your pavers looking freshly installed. Sun, foot traffic and weather fade the color, loosen the joint sand, and leave pavers open to stains, weeds and moss. Sealing locks in the beauty and adds a real layer of long-term protection.

What sealing actually does for you

  • Enhanced color — restores vibrancy and gives pavers a rich "wet look" or a natural matte finish, whichever you prefer.
  • Weed & moss prevention — joint stabilization helps lock the sand in place and cuts down the weed growth between pavers.
  • Stain resistance — protects against oil, grease, rust and food spills, so what lands on the surface wipes off instead of soaking in.

Four steps, in this order

  • Clean. Surface clean the pavers and remove the organic growth, staining and old failed sealer.
  • Re-sand. Sweep fresh polymeric sand into every joint. This is the step most often skipped, and it is the one doing the structural work.
  • Seal. Apply the sealer evenly and let it soak in rather than pool on the surface.
  • Cure. Stay off it while it sets — typically 24 hours for foot traffic and 48 for vehicles.

The joint sand is the whole point

Pavers do not sit on a solid slab. They interlock, and what holds that interlock together is the sand between them. Once rain and pressure washing have flushed that sand out, individual pavers start to shift, edges get chipped where they knock against each other, and the surface goes uneven underfoot.

Weeds and ants are the visible symptom of the same problem — both are colonising a joint that has lost its sand. Polymeric sand sets firm when it is wetted in, and the sealer then locks the whole thing down. That is why a proper seal job stops the weeds coming back rather than just killing the ones that are there.

When to reseal

In Florida sun, expect roughly three to five years from a seal before it is ready for another coat — sooner on a driveway carrying daily vehicle traffic, longer on a shaded patio. The tell is water: on a sealed surface it beads, and when it starts soaking straight in instead, the sealer has worn through.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked

How long does paver sealing last?
Typically three to five years in Florida, depending on sun exposure and traffic. Driveways wear faster than shaded patios.
Will sealing make my pavers slippery?
Not when the right product is used. For pool decks and patios we use a finish suited to wet areas — this matters a great deal around a pool, and it is worth asking any contractor about.
Can I choose the finish?
Yes. You can have a rich "wet look" that deepens the color, or a natural matte finish that protects without changing the appearance much. We will show you both before you decide.
Do I have to seal after cleaning?
No, cleaning and re-sanding on their own are perfectly worthwhile. Sealing is what extends the interval before the next clean and keeps the color from fading.
Can you seal pavers that have never been sealed?
Yes, and new-ish pavers are the ideal candidates — you lock in the original color before the sun has had years to bleach it out.
